We are getting ready for Paint the Town Pink event (Breast Cancer awareness & fund raiser)
So I was wondering if anyone has participated before and what events did you think were successful?

In October they did this in the town where I live. It was a really big deal with entertainment, extra store hours and lots of pink decorations. The town looked like pink Christmas. It's mostly a girl thing and my wife and her friends participated (spent money) for the whole week.

My store is in another town but I was so impressed I may do something by myself in the fall.

Anyone know where you buy pink Christmas style lights?

So you think local town management organization will let you do so…??? I don’t think its going to happen. I mean how someone can just think about doing such a thing, and can do that as well. And if the municipal corporation is allowing you to do so, you should go for a simple competition, where people will participate and do the task for you, for the betterment of humanity.

I'm getting ready to frame up some PINK stuff for my front window..... including a Jenny Finch jersey........ and I think I have a signed PINK Urlacher jersey coming too.........

I'm all about promoting to get your boobs squished.
I wish more towns got behind it!
Sadly....... most people only promote it or pay attention when it happens close to home....

FTP.... we had a team that walked in the 2 day hike in Chicago a couple years ago.
We took over an enitre bar..... and we were the servers for the night..... getting a cut of the proceeds. We had sooo many donted items.. including Sox/Cubs tickets... signed jerseys...and other things we raffled off. Our pink shirts said....."Save 2ND Base" My husband even wore one.....(cus I made him)

We raised over $8,000..... it was an awesome night.

This might be a great idea to pitch to our town... to make it all PINK....... which is my favorite color!

Did I forget to mention this is a town event actually including 8 surrounding towns! My store is in a converted old wharehouse with about 7 other retail stores. We are being encougraged to host our own event along with other townwide events. @ Black Iris check out chickabug.com they have the most amazing ideas & free printables. (AND ITS ALL PINK)
