We never knew how much fun we could have with a Ph pen. We've been wanting one for a while. Guess what. Our boss ordered, one and it was in the latest package from UMS. (We always like the UMS boxes. It's like Christmas.) Yippee. It was like a dam had burst. Purp and I tested everything we could think of. I can honestly say she got a little more into it than I did. She even tested my hand. I'm acidic. So is she. :D

She also tested the toilet paper and paper towels. Perhaps she can report on the results.

Oh yeah, we tested the serious stuff like matboards and foam core and corrugated cardboard. ;)

Hmmm. I wonder what I can test today?

So my advice is get yourself a Ph pen for hours of entertainment.

The toilet paper is acid (I did not test it mixed with pee), the paper towels are alkaline, the Kleenex are alkaline, the surface of the triple x I use to work and cut on is acid free. The center of it is not. Our rice paper hinges are not acidic, but the rice paper hinges, that have have atg type sticky, turned out to be more acid.

I couldn't get the pen to mark on our needlework padding and it is also fussy about writing on shiny surfaces.

One supplier who sold us "acid free" foam core, turned out to be acid. . . the foam core, not the supplier.

This pen has mushroomed my brain into thinking about acidity and alkalinity. A new thought sends me into great depths of study.

Ammonia is alkaline and vinegar is acid. Clorox is alkaline and cannot be mixed with ammonia. Can it be mixed with vinegar?

My other topic, on the board at present, takes my thoughts over into art and framing.
