Last week's Orlando convention was the first PPFA Trade show that I've attended, but it won't be the last!

The professional business/framing classes were really benificial. They even offered us a delicious sit down free lunch each day. Plus there was an excellent two day golf tournement prior to the start of the show. They also had actual cash drawings the last day for $20,000.00 cash prizes! No, I didn't win.

I love attending the Atlanta Art Expo too, but IMHO the PPFA is also worth the effort to attend, and you won't regret it.

Ditto!
It was truly a great event with lots of ideas to bring back and put into practice as well as a vast tradeshow area filled with all the latest marvels. Rob Markoff's tour of the show floor was guaranteed to fill your head with new ideas while wearing out your shoes.
(Oh, my poor feet!)The framing section was expanded this year but is still much smaller than the PFM or Decor shows. The training at the show was wonderful - Jim Miller had an informative class for people who hate paperwork. (Ironically, I must mention that his handouts were fantastic.)One of the guest speakers was Paco Underhill who wrote 'Why We Buy' and 'Call of the Mall'. The camaraderie of the people cannot be matched. Special thanks to Ellen -- a woman who is willing to share chocolate is truly remarkable!

For those in the North, the sunshine and palm trees are yet another great reason to attend.
Thanks, everyone.

Had a great time in Orlando at the PPFA convention... learned a ton, touched base with old friends and linked up with new ones. Came back to a big snowstorm (and only about 4 hours late!) It was a sort of contrasting weather sort of thing, bringing appreciation of both. But now I am fired up to do a few things differently. Remember: Add $1 to each order throughout the next year and you can have the money to come, compliments of your customers!
