Anybody out there in grumble land have a Onyx 90? Im about to buy a media cutter and was wondering how it compares quality wise with the Fletcher 3000.

Thanks in advance for the responses.

You often get what you pay for....

RT,

Check through the archives and you'll find this exact question asked at least twice a year... ;) And you'll also find the majority of respondents leaning towards the more expensive F-3000 (Read my signature please).

Although framers often praise what they own, I think without a doubt that the F-3000 might be the best all around, versatle and durable multi-material machine when compared to the 5-6 brands/models/options that have emerged over the past 30 years.

If you want to score glass, cut fomeboard/mats and whatever else is usually handled by one of these machines, and you don't have a ton of money to invest in it, the Onyx 90 is a fine machine. I'm homebased and not a large volume framer, so it works well for me. Just my 2 cents.
