Customer comes in yesterday and needs 52 x 40 metal framed photo Thurs. Today 40x60 UV CC shows up and the driver drops the box. Luckily one sheets survives. The customer said don't touch Giclee photo and now Less knows why (POS). The ink smeared into the margin. It took Less a good ½ hour trying to clean that up. Less struggles through matting, mounting, and glazing only to find out the chopped metal frame was sent to small.

UnSeal time!

UnSeal time!

Is Unseal time anything like Hammer Time?

UnSeal time!

Sounds like the customer printed on photo paper with Matte Black ink rather than Photo Black ink. Since it is very expensive to switch the inks they thought they could save $50 bucks and let Less deal with it. The ink will never dry properly.

They're using a 42 x 50 metal frame with glass?
What profile would that be? :kaffeetrinker_2:

P.S. Sorry about all the pains in your neck from this.
I hope the rest of your week is super duper fantastic to make up for it.

Not a chance - More like Miller time(not Jim)

Yes, photo paper of some sort. All the colors are smearing

"40x52" profile 117 - taped package - should be ok. Less bought some kind of Framestrap bracing he is going to try.

Rock on d ude.......... I'm trying to mount some tricky stuff today........

<crossing fingers and everything else> that it goes easy for you too today!!!!!!!!!!!

>>>I did bring tequila to the shop, just in case<<<

Well, I hope you tell them never, ever to flex it the slightest bit,
because that's just a crackeroo waiting to happen. As for the print,
it seems to me that if the ink is so wet it's not drying, won't it be
likely to ghost on the glass very quickly?

As for your plight, I do understand the feeling.

Puppies is so right. I assumed you've discussed this with the
customer, but if not, it's worth calling to suggest they come in.
They have the freedom of declining, in which case, you warned
them, but it can help to have them actually see it. Especially to
show them that this isn't a good precedent to set with their
printing. You might be able to nip a repeat in the bud.
