Hello,
I do occasional business with a gallery owner who drop-ships Omega chops for me to join for him. I don't carry Omega so I don't know the moulding number but it's a 3.25" flat panel very similar to Larson-Juhl's Academie 573235.
Anyway, there's always a corner that I have to wrestle with to align perfectly and often, I can't get it as perfect as I want it to be... can anyone say if this is a common problem with Omega? I sand all the miters for a true 45. When I encounter a problem, I confirm that each opposing set of rails is equal. My corner vice is spot on. The only conclusion that I can come to is that the moulding is warped... but it's so wide and the chops aren't particulary long in relationshp to the width (28x22). Most of the corners don't give me a problem at all, but in a group of 5 frames, there'll usually be about 2 or 3 corners that are difficult.
Is it me?
Thanks!!
