My first introduction into using a CMC was while working at a FastFrame over a year ago. The owners had a Wizard and I was shown how you can cut different shapes by combining several openings.

I now work at a frameshop that has an Eclipse. We have an opening that needs to be cut for a flag. It's a small military flag shaped like a rectangle with a triangle cut out of the right side. The best way I can think of to describe it would be a pennant flag with two tips as opposed to one.

Anyway, I can't think of any way to design this type of opening on the eclipse. Does anybody have any idea. Or do I have to cut this by hand?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

DA,

What shop do you work in? Are they using the Wizard MatDesigner software on their Eclipse, or the Eclipse software?

If they are using the MatDesigner software, you will be able to merge the openings after positioning them, by selecting all of them, Clicking on the Advanced Tab, and Clicking Group Selection.

Dani,

Thanks for the info. I'm going to check into the price of the Wizard MatDesigner Software.

If you could give me more information on your shop, you may already be using the Wizard MatDesigner software.

To cut a triangle on the Eclipse Say 10 x 8
Set your opening size
Go to set corner
Califorina - Monterey
Pick top corner
Advanced - set d1 to 1/2 vert (4) and d2 all of horz (10)
pick bottom corner (2 corners on the same side )
If you can use even numbers it will be easier
