Framer, as of last weekeed I have 64 MB of RAM. Last night I installed NS6.2.3 (from 4.7). It does a great job on the CSS problem. In fact CSS now loads faster than other pages!
The computer forum now loads without having to reload it several times before I can get there. Previously I hadn't had that problem with the other forums. Now I can load threads with 5 or more posts where I had to load as many as 6 or 7 times to get them before. Since the Grumble was upgraded I sometimes had to add a bookmark to get long threads to load.
Overall NS6.2.3 is slower than 4.7 for me (Powr Mac). Has anyone been able to speed it up short of DSL? I can't justify the cost of DSL for personal use.
The NS6 screen is pretty cluttered. Windows may be used to that, but I like it lean & clean.
I know I'll get used to it, but I'd like to make it run as well as possible. It has been less than 24 hours.
