JUST received the "NEW" bain. sports colors!!!!!!! great stuff-finally!!!!!!!!!

and being a tampa bay resident I immediately went down to their colors-----------imagine my SHOCK when I see the colors of the "old" bucks!!!!!!!!!! read that at least 6-8 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT orange/red ----but pewter/red of some kind(or garnet?)

come on guys! don't any of you watch the sunday follies????? or check the team webs??? or ask Olympus(aka NFL) for an official colors samples(of course they would, undoubtedly, charge $$ for that one!)

someone sure dropped the ol' pigskin on that one!:help:

Penn State's colors are wrong also

From the Penn State web page:

The team colors were once dark pink and black, a color combination that was chosen way back in 1887 by a student committee. However it was soon discovered that the pink on the uniforms quickly faded to white in the sun. Rather than have a black and white uniform color combination, the students decided to use blue and white instead and they have been the college colors ever since.

They are listed as blue and grey on the spec sheet. Now I wonder how many others are wrong. Not being a football or basketball fan I was thrilled to receive it because it would be an easy way to check colors. Not so much!

One thing else I noticed is that you have to pull the real mat samples as the color reproduction on this printed sheet is off. For example #8020 Red Rave appears a lot more pink on the specifer ( At least the one I have, yours may be printed differently )

Hey, it is a nice looking piece Jerry. And at least it is a starting point. I think most customers framing sports stuff will tell us if they have listed the wrong colors.

I'm not a sports guy at all, but I do have the regional teams down, so I know what to use.

" I don't even have one to look at"
Jerry-
would you prefer one that is wrong(& you don't know where)
or not have one a at all but is correct everywhere???
incidentally, I guess I'm on their mailing list because I have talked with & corressponded to them in the past year or 2(once was beging for donations to one of our state chapter events--it was graciously accepted/fulfilled too!!! Thanks again guys/gals).
it's like getting your biz in the papers(ala press releases on artists now showing, events you're doing-so people can drop by and SPEND $$$) you dont send them the press release(at least 3 wks in advance & sent to the 'correct' person--call & find out who that is), they will NEVER know you're doing anything!!!!!!!!! one hand MUST help wash the other!
