New Virus with no vaccine - hoax?

Received a fax from my husband's company office that is warning about a new virus - worst virus ever - CNN announced. Comes in the form of "A card for You" - I checked a couple of the virus hoax sites and found nothing new.

Anyone else aware of it? Or is it a hoax.

I don’t think they take on automatic e-mail notifications anymore, but the Carnegie-Mellon folks have a CERT (Computer Emergency Readiness Team) advisory site which might be worth looking into.

They don’t give info on specific worms and viruses and the like, but may help guide you into showing you which parts of your system are vulnerable to attack (Explorer and Outlook are constantly under siege) and how to fix them.

I have since been advised it is, in fact, a hoax.

I thought so. I usually check the hoax site for these dumb things... but I thought this might be SO NEW it wasn't there yet... right.
