Got a new toy today. My wife bought me a new digital camera. Not a real expensive one but better than the old one I had. Had to try it out. This one will do panographic photos. This is my first pano photo. It is a picture of my little town. My shop is on the right side.
BTW it took me forever to figure out how to post this image.

Love my town. This has been my hometown all of my life. The town has just been renovated. Over 1 1/2million dollars spend to open street to traffic, install brick paver sidewalks, street lamps and much more. There used to be concrete canopes in this middle section of town. Only foot traffice. :p

I was a member of the DDA, downtown development authority, when we finally got the money for the renovations. We are very proud of what has be accomplished.

Just renovated the trail depot (one of only seven stops for AMTRAC between Greenville, SC and Atlanta, GA) and built an historical museum. Toccoa is home of the Currahee Camp. If you saw band of brothers you will remember Camp Toccoa.

Toccoa was host to the southern premier of Band of Brothers.
 
Ray, you folks did a beatiful job on the downtown renovations. That is the kind of thing that makes people want to go back to shopping the traditional downtown area.

We are proud. Took a lot of hard work to get this accomplished.
Will post some pictures of the old town if I can find some.

We also just renovated the courthouse that was built in 1908.
1.8 million on that project.

Nothing beats that small town pride. I have always loved the arts festivals which tend to happen in those streets. If they don't have them planned yet be sure to get the ball rolling with your store smack dab in the center of it all.

We have five or six events each year. Our shop is right in the mddle of the activities.

Here an old picture of our shop. It looks better that it really was.
