SPFG, Supreme Picture Framing God
After accumulating a myriad of small scraps from museum glass cut-offs, I discovered a great way to slightly up the sale and show the value of using museum glass on any artwork.
When someone is having something framed in a relatively small size, say 11X14 or smaller, I always suggest museum glass instead of CC glass. The ticket increase of the entire job is not very big as a percentage of the the total and it is an easy sell. Customers become hooked on the brightness and clarity of the image and often go to museum glass for the rest of their framing lives.
Now I'm even more careful to save anything over 5" cutoffs as I can't keep the small scraps in stock!
