New here - Just registered and now can't access the Grumble

Hi,
I'm new here, but have been lurking for a few weeks. I just registered, and now I can't get into The Grumble. If I logout, I can get in. Does anyone know why this would be happening? I can get into most of the other areas, just not the Grumble.

I'm not sure why you are experiencing this problem but at least one other person has mentioned this happening.
There have been some other problems since a recent update to The Grumble, hopefully they will be straightened out soon, or maybe some more computer experienced person has a solution for you.

Carol Neff had the same thing happen to her. She was forced to post to Warped and hasn't been the same since. You could email her at csneff@famvid.com or contact framer, the administrator and describe your problem.

Same thing happens to me
what seems to fix it is
when you click the grunble
and you get a blank screen
look at your address bar,
and right at the end of the line it may say PRUNE=1000
click to the end of the line and only change the 1000 to about a 10
ie prune=10
this will get it going..

I am very excited about finding this forum. I just recently discovered framing and am really enjoying it. I am not a professional, but I like to think of myself as a serious amateur.

You are a genius! I've been having this trouble too, and had use some fancy footwork to get in and out - the prune trick works wonderfully!

Ah ha!! I knew there was a trick! I thought that someone there had recognized me when I registered and somehow restricted me to the warped section!

(Wouldn't have been the first time!)

I was perfectly content reading some of the ho hum posts here this evening and then I came to yours and I cut loose with a laugh that woke the dog!!

He doesn't like to be disturbed after 9 PM!
