just got the EM about this ... price certainly looks right!

Store and share large files for free with Windows Live™ SkyDrive™.
Want to send large files, like vacation photos and home videos, without worrying about exceeding your friends' e-mail storage space? With SkyDrive, you get 5 GB of password-protected online storage. That means you can get to your files from wherever you're online, and so can the people you give permission to. You're always in control of who sees what.

Bill it's interesting you post this information at this particular time. I just finished watching a training video regarding this very thing. Off site storage is fast becoming big business. Because there are such vast amounts of information at our fingertips, we quickly run out even with storage becoming so cheap to buy. The one thing to look out for is that information stored in your private business or residence is protected by our constitution from undue search and seizure. The Supreme Court has ruled that you have a right to expect those documents to be private. Not so with information stored by a 3rd party. They've ruled there is no expectation of privacy in those cases and law enforcement does not have to have "cause" to search through those records. Interesting?

Between my 5 Gmail accounts I have about 30 GB storage, also free.
And best of all, I know Google will not go belly up or start charging for storage at some point in the future.

Amen

thank goodness we've got some companies out there who recognize fascism and stand up to it. I won't be without my google. My only fear: they're becoming so succesful and broad, at some point, they will be too tempting for someone like a Time Warner, Fox, or AOL to purchase. Now that I think about it, I better start drafting my contingency plan.
