I HAVE JUST DONE MY FIRST BOX FRAME DON'T CONGRADULATE ME YET. I HAVE A PROBLEM.
I BUILT UP THE EDGES WITH WHITE FOAM CORE TO SUPPORT THE MAT NOT TO BAD BUT GRAVITY HAS TAKEN OVER AND THE TOP HAS BOWED SHOWING THE FOAM CORE. I USED DOUBLE SIDED TAPE TO KEEP THEM TOGETHER BUT IT HASN'T WORKED.IT IS QUITE LARGE AND THE AREA IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IS APPROX 50MM DEEPX 850MM LONG WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM.REGARDS DARRYL

You will probably need to use tape and glue. Try putting the tape in small strips the other direction e.g. not just length wise plus the glue. All caps means you are yelling at us and you may be, just one of those on line quirks.

You may want to go to the search button at the top and check some other forums. Have a good day.

G'day Darryl,

Welcome to the Grumble.

Did you know that you have an "Aussie Grumble" down your way?

Check their site out here.

Regarding you bowing problem, did you leave a little "wiggle" room when you cut your pieces? If you cut to the exact dimensions of the inside of your shadowbox sides, there will be no room for expansion when the environmental conditions change. You should leave about 6mm to 10mm of space for expansion on these pieces as you would all the other pieces of mat and foamcore in the frame package.

I hope this helps you and I hope you enjoy the Grumble.
