Love the ad and love the company name. If you could increase the size of the font you would fill more of the dead space and catch more attention. If you offer any services other than framing, now would be the perfect time to mention them. I love the exterior of your new shop. Nice, catchy, and fun postcard.
Here's wishing you good luck in the future.

Fun - I like it!

Congratulations FTP (Sorry...don't know your real name as you don't have an identity in your profile),

The Ad is fun and catchy...that's good - people will remember you. If this is your mode of operatus...then you want to retain those same elements in all future efforts as well to build on your image branding.

All the best,

John

No call to action? It looks good but here are my two thoughts.

1. The thing I like the least is the sign. I get the message and understand it's perfect but the sign really strikes me the wrong way.
2. I wish you had an offer (or benefit or incentive, not always a discount) instead of having such open space on the right.

The dogs are great and I love the brick. Would love to see shots of the inside if you get the chance.

Thanks guys !!!!!!! Oh BTW my name is Megan......... We are still tweaking it a bit. Have to figure out if its going to vert or horz. For the first run I wanted to keep it really clean and simple. Most of the other ads are of the same vein. I will be running this ad for one month and will eventually announce the grand opening. We are really "homey" kinda of people casual and relaxed. The inside feels more like a living room than retail (remember we were home based) and Pwalters I will post more pic soon. :)

Megan, you look great and so does the ad. Best of luck with the new location.

Must thank you all for you well wishes and thoughts! I have had such a horrible day..... During this move....... that wasn't really planned and just happened (Paul dont yell at me for my lack of business sense LOL ) I also changed my Health insurance, Business Insurance, Payroll, and telephone ,cable. And yes they all had questions today Ugh...... Plus had to get the ad ready for tommorow + a rush job... But still am blissfully happy!
Thanks

Megan - so happy to hear Chopper is a cancer survivor. He has been on my prayer list for so long but I have been afraid to ask......

Great looking store, card, dogs, portrait, man, etc!!!

Thanks Mar actually Chopper is on the left........ Your prayers are well felt as he is doing great!!!!! Loves the shop but the other guy not so much. But in our building dogs are welcomed both retail and shoppers just doesnt get any better!

Can't wait to see the pics.

And remember... plan the work and work the plan! You'll do great if you follow that principle.

Congratulations Megan. Looks great and good luck getting up and running quickly.

Thanks so much Jeff!! We are up and running but I am running out of steam LOL!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, you will get to sleep in on Christmas day, unless you have children.

I think it looks great Megan.I love the dogs ,they make it warm and inviting. The lady that owns the bookstore two doors down brought her great dane to work everyday until he passed away six months ago.Her customers still feel lost without him.

Thanks Carla Chopper has been a very important part of our shop. After his surgery and chemo he still had to come to work everyday! He is amazing!
Sorry for your loss............

Randy......... why loose the guy? LOL

Yeah, why loose the guy?

Smart girl and goof ball guy is a common theme in advertising. It just shows your on the leading edge of marketing.

It all looks great FTP.

Doug

Have you had a chance to work on a website yet. If you are doing it yourself get a basic Home Page up right away. You can always add information and additional pages as you have time.

Megan, I think you have an opportunity for some valuable publicity with a great story angle - a business that's growing despite the economy. The media loves to feature a feel good tale.

Yes Jeff we are meeting with a web person this week. Been wanting to do it for a long time now!
And yes Paul I hope to get some media coverage. The newspaper that the ad will be in loves anything art and creative.
Thanks for all of your good vibes!!

Megan; I think the ad is fun, great, inviting.
I would work on the website real quickly and put that in the ad as quickly as well.

Not sure if I'd use the black background on the right. I think I would do a dark brown or burgundy to go better with the fun photo on the left.

Great ad, Megan. Your shop appears homey, comfortable and fun... a very inviting place.

I think not gorping up the right side of the ad with too much type keeps a very clean and readable look.

You don't say where you are using the ad... postcard mailer??? newspaper? arts magazine?

I think if it was used as a postcard I would put an offer on the back so you could measure the response and have a call to action. It would make a great postcard.

Opinions wanted for new ad

Love the ad...the name is good too. My frame shop motto is "We Frame to Please!" Love the dogs too! So glad to hear your dog has survived cancer. We lost our beloved Golden Retriever a little over a year ago to cancer. She was a big part of our family.

Thanks folks !!!! for all your encouragement. Well did a dumb thing today. Heat press was in the open position and I put my hand on the top to reach for something and BAM!!!! Hit myself in the face with the bar...........talk about dumb! Very luck though no fracture just a split lip and a couple stiches. I will always make sure that it is closed!!! :(

Carla so sorry to hear about your puppy {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

Sorry to hear about the accident. I have always kept it closed after witnessing a broken nose by a co-worker. Hope you are all healed up in time for any event you have planned.

Thanks Jeff should be ok by then ( I hope) Got a spanking hot dress for the event! LOL Not often that I dress up.....

Oh so we are using this ad for a newspaper but plan on using it again for opening invites with a "welcome to our new home" sorta theme. still working on it.
Hoping for more inspiration after a few frozen margitrita's that my Dentist approved :)

Be careful with this ad for newspaper. Fine white print on black background can reproduce terribly when printed on newsprint. I know from a very similar ad we did. I'd hate for you to be disappointed but from my experience your type will not reproduce well unless printed on a glossier stock than standard newsprint.

The dress should distract any attention from the injury. Post a picture and we'll let you know.:D

Funny and inviting to younger folks, crazy and nuts for older folks.
Who doesn't love puppies and goofy guys?

Is your shop in a mall or inside somewhere? The black and white floor is suspect.
I wish you great beginnings and a prosperous future.
The ad is fabulous and got my attention. Your name is catchy and witty, I like it!

An old truth in display advertising is there are three things that will catch a persons eye:

1. Round circles ( the lights)

2. Furry animals (the dogs)

3. Sex (the two good looking people who are still in their child bearing years)

Your ad fills all three categories.

It also gives a feeling of fun. It clearly points out what you do, picture framing. It shows a warm, inviting store.

That is probably one of the best ads I've seen in years.

Good job.

John

Really nice ad. Kudos. An ad like that would make me want to check out the business. So much fun, so much energy. Well done.

Thanks John, but I dont know about the child bearing years LOL :) I think thats more Nicole's dept. I think I am going to start eating those Whoopie pies too....... Where does she get all the energy!

A little info about where we are at. It is an old industrial building built in 1903 and then in the early 90's transformed into retail/professional space.

http://www.thegalleriaredbank.com/

It is such a great space & we are located next to some really wonderful home interior shops bedding ,tile, furniture etc. And on Sunday the Galleria hosts a Farmers Market which I have participated for the last 7 years selling old fruit crate labels etc.
Which is where I am off to now........ I hope that some there is selling organic Whoopie Pies ...........LOL
Have a great day!
Megan
