It's already happening.. it was only a matter of time:
Craigslist is being blocked by Cox

Cox apparently has their own classified service, and gee, for some reason Cox users can't see craigslist.com.. bad bad bad...
 
So how do these company's do this? Do they have a blacklist script or something in the server?
 
I seriously doubt Cox is doing that. I'm on that ISP and can get to it fine. Cox had a major technical problem from Friday until Tuesday, which would have prevented people from getting to ANY sites - including that one. My bet would be that this is the true source of the difficulty.
