Hi there - me again!

Ok - another challenge... We got in a Sports rug for UGA that is 4' x 6' and is one of the loop rugs that is backed by rubber. The customer wants it framed with a basic black frame we carry and no glass. The challenge is how to mount it. One option we are considering is the Attache-eze system to Rhino Board. BUT we thought it would look a whole lot cleaner and be more secure if it would work to dry mount it to thick Foamcore. We are just not sure if the rubber backing can handle the heat of the the Bienfang. It IS the type of rug that can be laundered - same make up as most the Kitchen Throw-rugs you buy with the rubber back - except a lot larger! Anyone out there have any experience with this sort of application? Would appreciate the advice! Thanks!

If conservation is not a problem, why don't you talk to a carpet place and see if there is an adhesive that won't break the rubber back down. They glue carpet don't they? ( Or is that, "they shoot horses don't they? :p couldn't help myself)

Very good! LOL!! The fact that your used that line and the fact that I know that line dates both of us! :O)

Conservation is DEFINITELY not a problem - but - we thought about the glue and the carpet people said they could not be sure how it would stay when hung on a wall and not flat on the floor - LOL! WE have also thought about Gorilla Glue - that stuff lasts longer than Twinkies!:icon9:

Frank's Fabric Adhesive should do the trick, but the weight you will be dealing with . . . the weak link is the rubber backing... or the paper face of the board.

After gluing (but I'm a belt AND suspenders kind of guy) I'd still Attach EZ every 3-4" on a grid pattern.
