a short time ago my pc started printing web page info only about 4" wide & a little over 1/2 page long(hdrs/ftrs still print where they are supposed to and in the 'correct' size)----very hard for old eyes to read!: ( I did not change anything in fonts(that I 'know' of), changing 'view' sizes has no effect. nothing else seems amiss and it is now becoming a real pain(trying to gather some info from the web and need it full sized to be read). I can get bigger sizes if I copy page, put that into word, increase THAT size & print--toooo much trouble! I did the ms-help thing on printing etc---no joy. I see nothing under tools/options that doesn anything
anyone point me in the (hopefully) correct direction to solve/conquer this??

I know I'm a Mac guy (might be worth trying), but it sounds like the default page size has been changed to a half letter page. Is there some "Properties" menu, or ctrl/alt/delete/f12 that you can use to check the default size?

As Jerry said, its under FILE -> PAGE SETUP

You'll probably want it set to LETTER for the size. The margins can be set at 0.5 all around.

If it still doesn't work, check the printer driver's properties. (printer button is on that same screen, to bring them up)

If it's just one particular page, a SCALE setting might be turned on - to shrink a page to fit your printer. If so, one solution might be to print landscape instead of portrait. It will use 11 inches rather than 8.5

There may be other solutions, too.

"page setup"? File->page setup->scale"
only show 'paper', 'header & fiiters', 'orientation', & 'margins'

"default size? "
not that I can find . you'd think there would be one of those somewhere.

thanks guys!

I have found on many occasions if you withhold electricity from most electronic thingamabobs it puts kinda the fear of God into the things and they will behave very nicely thankyouverymuch when plugged back in.

My findings on electronics

I discovered that electronics run on smoke. Once the smoke comes out of them, they don't work any longer. :beer:
