I'm in Virginia, too... and I'll give you my thoughts one at a time...

** Morso 60” bar/multi-angle Chopper with 3 sets of blades, tools, accessories and
video instructional tape $ 1,400.
I'd put it at $1000 with extra blades.

** Seal Dry Mount Press 500T with temperature control $2,500.
Decent price

** Dry Mount Texture Kit (for canvas, brush stroke, line, etc.) $250.
Correct price, but a new price.

** SP-42 Shrink Wrap Machine $475.
** Shrink wrap film and heat gun $85.
Look around enough and you can get the whole thing for $250.

** Oval Mat and glass cutter with all accessories/attachments/parts/tools,
for doing oval, round, scallop, v-groove, inlay, etc. cuts $900.
Only worth it if you do a ton of oval mats. I wouldn't pay half that because I wouldn't use it very often.

** Over 700 Wood Moulding Corner Samples from approximately 50 manufactures $2,100.
No way. You usually get these free.

** Over 400 Mat Corner Samples and racks in all spectrums and shades there of, linen,
100% rag and museum quality $700.
Again, should be free.

** Over 200 Metal Corner Frame Samples $400.
Free...

** 58 Nielson Moulding cut and store packaged, in various lengths and finishes $500.
Without saying how many feet, its impossible to tell you.

** Wood Moulding – approximately 11 different manufactures with approximately
1400 lineal feet averaging $3.25 per feet $4,500.
This sounds like new cost...
Checkout the for sale section for 30,000 feet for $300

** Numerous sheets of picture frame glass $200.
Cases run about $35-$70 each. Opened cases mean scratched and damaged product

** Wall mount moulding rack pegged 15 ‘/ 45 compartments) to store vertically $100.
Okay-ish.

** Divider panels for mat/glass vertical storage (20 compartments) $100.
Reasonable.

** 4 Large Free Standing Oak Framed Moulding Display Racks
with green velvet covering $1,000.
You could build it yourself for that...

**3 Ceiling mount moulding racks (3 tier each in iron/wood assembly) $1,500.
will you be mounting from your ceiling? If not, you can build floor racks for that...

**Large Magnesium Rack on wheels 84”h x 26 ½”w x 42 ½”d with
numerous adjustable shelves for storing customer orders $450.
You can get shelving almost anywhere, cheaper.

**Multi-angle and standard vices $250.
Doesn't say how many. Impossible to tell. Tools should only go for about 1/4-1/2 value used.

**Numerous boxes of supplies: hardware, tools, glues, etc. $1,500.
Do you know how much hardware, tools & glues you can buy for $1500?

The short? NO way.

As much as I love grouped bargains when I see them...in this economy you're better off picking out which particular things you'd like to have and buy them. There are tons of items for sale now. This set doesn't include a standard mat cutter or an underpinner...and doesn't even say it includes a frame nailer. It's not 'complete' even as far as equipment goes. No matboard, no foam...

Very optimistic seller. Look through the posts from the past couple months to see what some more realistic prices are.

The moulding would have to be pretty nice moulding to average $3.25/ft. Even at 1/2 price, it's still pretty spendy for his UNUSED stock.

Moulding samples - no need to buy them.

Equipment is too hard to judge price without knowing condition, amount of use, etc.

Thank you

Thank you to all who responded. I needed to know that I wasnt overpaying and may have some negotiating room.
I will let you know what happens...

If he's in "your area" as you said, make sure he tosses in his customer list including addresses as well. May be the most valuable thing he actually has.

Prices way to high
for example, have sold 3 seal 500T drymount presses in the past year.
the most expensive sold for $850, a 500T could be 30 years old $2,500 is nuts. samples are free, duh
chopper

Some people are crazy.
I took a couple of minutes to price this stuff out with current used
average prices. If you had money to burn all this would add up to
$3,350 . Anyone with a brain would pay no more than $ 2,500
