I am doing some research for a customer. Has anyone done a rope fillet or capped a lenght of rope. If so where do I find the rope as everything I am finding at the hardware store is either too thick or too thin. Any help would be appreciated.

last I saw HD carried about 10 diff sizes rope.should be able to find ;something; suitable ? how you plan to attach rope to the frame???

I once used a climbing rope as a fillet.

I glue 1/8 in FC about 1/4 back from the bevel on the bottom of the mat.

Glue along the face of that, inserted the rope "under" that bevel against the FC, then did a couple straight pins to make sure it stayed.

Different fabric and craft stores may have what you're looking for. The fabric stores may even have them in different colors, although the finish on them may not be as rustic as you want. Home decor or upholstery shops may have them too, as they use them as trim on drapes and furniture.
