Navajo Rug tassles

I know - not tassles AGAIN!?!

I searched, but didn't see anything other than graduation tassles.

How do you recommend keeping Navajo rug tassles in place - w/o cinching & using preservation technique. My thought was to use a running stitch from the back with cotton thread, but I still think it would look cinched. I have to do something - there are 24 tassles, 4 'threads' on each - UGH! And they are thin threads, no larger than a piece of string.

Just a quick reply - ore later. Did you search "fringe" as well as tassels?

I know that's been discussed, though I haven't had much personal experience with it.
