Hi everyone,

As some of you may remember, I've been a lurker for awhile, but recently completed my first commercial job. Am pretty happy with it! Critiques welcome. :)

One question. I'm trying to decide on hanging hardware, but wonder if the d-rings I've got will work. They're rated "light", see attached. The entire piece is 15x30, with glass and made from likely Douglas Fir or Pine and is probably no more than 10 pounds (how do y'all weigh your frames once they're finished anyway?)

Cheers!

That hardware is more than adequate. I would guess that the completed frame is closer to 5 pounds in weight (2.25 kg) with 2 mm glass.

By using a basic kitchen scale or package scale.

The D-rings will work fine, but if you think you'll be doing a good number of pieces in thin, softwood frames, check out Flangers. They increase your safety margin quite a bit.

Critique: Good job with the elements provided. Since it is more information than art, the spare accents work well.
With the goal of directing the eye to the objects displayed you did a very good job.

Nice job. BTW, you can get about 100 of those hangers for that price from 888 Mfg. or similar framing supply companies.
 Rick
