The TV commercials started the morning after Halloween so the season has officially begun. I know that I have always seen a huge spike in time for the Thanksgiving family gatherings so it might get them thinking about it sooner. Would be nice if there weren't so many framing emergencies this year.

don't like to see Christmas decor before Thanksgiving...showing my age and old fashion ideas , I guess....but I think it is a sad state of affairs to see this stuff start as early as Oct. MHO

GAHH!! Christmas BEFORE Halloween! GAHH!! But I have to deal with Halloween in SALEM! Halloween around here is FAR more profitable than Christmas, if you are offering the right kind of mechandise--as in Halloween, witchy, Gothic type of merchandise.

I'm actually looking forward to Christmas this year. I think it'll be relaxing compared to Halloween in Salem!

They are putting up the Christmas decorations at the shopping center this weekend, and I'm going to try to get my stuff up in the next few days.

I don't decorate. My family is lucky if I put up a tree. I do buy poinsettias, because i love them and they are easy.
Since I'm in my new shop, perhaps I should think about a bit of a twinkle light. humbug.

We've been debating when to put up our decorations here at the shop.

In the past we've waited until the Thanksgiving weekend, but for some reason it feels like we need to get them up earlier this year.

One of the girls thought we should do it immediately after halloween, but I think we're aiming at mid-November.

Okay, I am soooo not in Christmas mode/mood just yet! I will wait until after Thanksgiving.
For some reason, I am getting quite a few Thanksgiving orders. Must be the all family get together thing and wanting the home to be decorated with new art.
Besides, after a month of staring at the Christmas stuff, I am so ready to clean them up again. So right after Thanksgiving will be long enough.
