Museum acrylic

Would anyone like to give me an idea of what your markup would be on a piece 23 x 70 museum acrylic? The darn stuff is sooooo expensive and I'm cringing at our cost, much less the customers. Just want to get an idea as we haven't ever dealt with the stuff before.

Julie,

It's the same markup factor as museum glass which is also very very expensive. Your customer should be aware of the prices going in and it should be your responsibility to tell him/her of the choices.

If they requested museum acrylite over the other choices available, then they most likely know already that they aren't going to walk away with very much change in their pocket.

I would stick to your regular mark-up.
It IS expensive, and that's that.

I sell a lot of that.

I set up our pricing in FrameReady, for Museum Glass and Museum Optium Acrylic, to earn approximately 2x the profit dollars that would come from similar sized Conservation Clear.
