I simply cannot believe this. I just finished a lengthy hilarious post about the frustrating and triumphant week that I have just finished struggling with Mr. Murphy and just as I hit post new topic my servor quit on me!!!!! So where did my new topic go, anyways? I sure am not in the mood to retell my story. Take my word, it was a good one!

BTW, is it me or is the G way slower with all these newfangled improvements?

Dermot - Murphy is the one who declared "Anything that can go wrong, will". I'm not sure whether he was an actual or apocryphal Irishman.

Isn't there more? Doesn't it say " If the worst can happen it will, and it will happen at the most inopportune time".
First if it Can happen means at some time it will othwise how would we know that it Can and in order for it to be the WORST it will have to be at the "most in opertune time" otherwise something else will be worst.
And I beloeve it was named for the originator of the philosophy who just happens to be of Irish descent. This is obvious by Dermot not know what we are speaking about.
Is n't a better axiom " when the Lord sends you Lemons make lemonade".You know we can't always control what happens but we can decice whatto do after it happens. So if it was good one maybe you could just cut and paste it back in the BB we all might learn from it in more than one way.

Thanks guy’s I have a pretty good idea of what “Murphy’s Law” I just had no idea how it originated.

I had thought of asking my question on the Warped Moulding but my curiosity is serious.

My interest in the subject is that a number of years ago I read a super book called “The History of the Further”, it was all about business, technology, biotechnology, etc. developments into the further, one of the things I recall from the book was that no matter what plans you may have for your business or technology advancements, is to be sure to factor in “Murphy’s Law” for despite what the experts i.e. Engineers, Business Experts, Scientists etc. would like to have us believe, that is what they develop in the years to come wont break down or have faults, the suggestion in the book was that “Murphy’s Law” can be ignored to often and that the experts don’t always get it right.

Without being a doom merchant I try and factor “Murphy’s Law” into most things I do but despite that I have had some really super failures, without boosting I feel that one of my stronger points is that I like it when I’m proven wrong about a view point I may have or when I find out that a business decision I have made is wrong, it great to learn and develop no matter what area of your life is involved.

As I say I love to learn even if it is the hard way.

If I knew where it went I could (maybe) cut and paste it, but I don't even know where to look! I know computers are sneaky little buggers and like to tuck all sorts of things away in multiple locations. Anybody got any ideas where I should look? It really was a great story! Thanks!
