It appears that MSN Communities is (hopefully temporarily) out of commission.

Several of us have used this free service to host images to post to The Grumble. These images are all remarkably similar, at least for now. They look like this:

If anyone has any further information about this, please share. I suppose this will open an opportunity for rants about the evil Microsoft empire, but I'm hoping for something more like an ETA.

BTW, those of you who use MSN Communities might check and see if your site is available.

I went to the MSN Groups home page and there are sites that are accessible. Mine is listed as active but is inaccessible. There is no information there about system status.

This is not a world crisis, but there are going to be a LOT of little red X's peppered all over The Grumble.

I was in my site this morning and the photos I've posted seem to be there...at least from my computer.

Hey Ron - if you have room on your website you could make an "upload page" and save your pix on there. That's how I am set up. Don't ask me how, however, Kim's hubby set it up for me!

The portion of the storage space for my website that I've actually used isn't even measurable. There's plenty of room there.

Photobucket is far-and-away the easiest way I've found to post pictures. Once it's set up initially, it takes about 30 seconds to post a picture.

What I'm a tad concerned about is the 300-400 pictures I've already posted on TG from MSN Communities - especially the one of you, Mar.

They're all on my hard drive, but I don't think I'm going to hunt down and replace all those links.

Maybe I can get Sarah to do it.

Well they don't call her the Digital Diva for nothing! Wouldn't ever want that pic of me to go missing! LOL!

BTW - it only takes me about 30 seconds to post a picture too!

Never mind. It's back.

To celebrate, here's a picture of my late, great dog, who had just returned from chasing a Canada goose across a field, into the river, across a little island and then half-way to Biloxi.

That goose actually thought he was safe once he got to the water.

Now that I know what a PITA it is to use MSN Communities to post a photo, I believe I'll concentrate on other hosts.
