Mounting substrate over 12'

What are you mounting? With what method? What is the final purpose?

We make oversized platforms and cover them with Gator that has been butted and the seems are filled and sanded. Works great for "float platforms" that are covered with fabric (or canvas). We also have then used rag paper in roll form to cover a platform.

Depending on what you are mounting and how it is to be used - it could be a workable option.

For the last ginormous piece we did, however, acrylic was our only option.

ACM should be available this size - maybe check with some sign-writing suppliers.

Hey Lance - for those of us who don't speak Kiwi-

ACM?

Thanks Jim, sorry Rob I thought it was a generic term. If you're not already using this type of material I suggest you try it out as there are many benefits for larger packages and other display solutions.

Heck, if youse had said, DiBond in the first place, I wudda know what youse was talkin' about.

BTW, Jim alternates between the monikers, Captain DiBond or the Master of Mylar as he is well versed with both.

Gotta get hip to the lingo and add ACM to my "generic description" vocabulary. Thanks!

Polycarbonate sheet can be found as long as 14'. It is soft enough that it can be rolled and thus, it can be made longer than acrylic sheet.
