Have some prints, all digital printing from Epson K3 inksets on Epson papers, that are from 5 to 17 inches wide and 3 feet to 12 feet long.
I am looking for a good way to mount them to a substrate like Gatorfoam. Or, something solid but lightweight like that.
I have tried some 3-4 feet wide on matboard and using Scotch PMA and have not had good results. They look very nice at first and within 6-9 months start to buckle, bubble and lift off in spots. Apparently the Epson glossy and semi-matte surface papers expand and contrace a lot differently than the matboard does.
Any good way of mounting these so they can be hund in a museum gallery? No frame and edge to edge is fine as long as they will hang and show well, not buckle, warp or twist and last once the print is mounted to the material.
Black edges all the way around with 1inch gatorfoam should do nicely. Just looking for a bombproof way to mount so I don't have to replace the prints later.
