I am in the process of mounting posters and for some reason they are not staying mounted to the Kooltac foam board. Press temp is 165, dwell is 45 seconds at 28 of vacum pressure. Just mounted 30 inkjet photos with no issues, only the posters are not staying mounted. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike

Type of paper they are printed on?

I have found some are coming in with a slight powder I mean really slight not even noticable. Untill you try to mount them I havebeen whiping down the backs of all posters & photos before drymounting them.

Yes and what Dave is going to tell you in the next post ....LOL

Is that 45 seconds once the vacuum is pulled? I would add a little temp and time.

I am also wondering since you just did a number of others if the issue is more with the print and not the mounting material.

Dave, The 45 seconds is at full pressure. I have the 4' x 8' press and it takes 1min,15sec to draw a full vacum, my timer is set for 2min which gives me 45sec at full pressure. Might try wiping the back of the posters with a slightly damp fiber cloth to see if that helps.

I've done some on heavy paper stock and had been rolled and they need to cool flat. I hold them face down on the Wizard aluminum table until they cool.
