Question Mounting Photo to top of acrylic like LJ's stamps model

Ok I know the stamps model from LJ has two pieces of glass and is multi level and the stamps are stuck to the top of the glass with the gum from the backs of the stams.
Customer wants the same thing except using photos (5x7) instead.
So what is the best way to stick the photos to the acrylic and have them stay there for a very long time?
Come on all you brains out there help me out?

The first thing that comes to my mind would be to use PMA. I would put the PMA on the photo and then mount it to the acrylic.

Test it out first to make it is what you want.
 
PMA which is Positionable Mounting Adhesive. It will not be positionable when it touches acrylic though so be sure to have it properly aligned.


I've got to learn to type faster around this place.
 
Ok the PMA and the Lascaux stuff are very serious adhesives, are there any other adhesives that work, that one would have in the shop?
The first two seem too extreme to use on the back of a photo.
Surely there must be an alternative some one has used in the past with success.
Anyone?

Several alternative adhesives have been used in similar applications. But since most of them would fail, that part about with success gets tricky.
 
I know a museum conservator that mounts items on glass with regular old wheat/rice paste. I don't know why it would not work on acrylic as well.

* no adhesive release when sawing, cutting or removing backing paper
Backing double-sided siliconised glassine paper, 90 g/m²
Adhesive 40 g/m² polyacrylate, permanent

I'll use this stuff and see how it works.
