mounting canvas

I have 4 10x20 acrylics on canvas that have a lot of texture. Customer wants a Neilson #15 profile frame. Any thoughts on how to stretch or mount these? Stretcher bars won't fit inside this profile.

I have drymounted acrylics before, but the texture would be flattened out.

I would try Perfect Mount. It's supposedly archival peel and stick.

They don't all flatten out in dry mounting, but I wouldn't experiment on a customer's piece.

You could probably find a wood stock at Home Depot or the lumberyard that would work nicely as a shallow stretcher. It would not be hard to improvise a raised edge.

You could use a sheet of 3/8" ply to stretch on, and cut a small rag mat to raise the canvas off of the board.

I know her shop, they have one thing cheaper, and it's hideous. It has been known to make even SUV drivers recoil in horror, crying, "No! No! I'll pay, anything but that!"
