There are many methods that can work including using strips of clear film like mylar, formed wire rods, or my favorite which is leather laces.

In the old days we would just glue them down with some silicone or even cornerweld. Those days have gone as we have generally become more educated about framing in non-destructive manor.
 
I waaaay undercharged doing such a job. I used mylar straps, but many of the arrowheads didn't have necks on them, so those had to be criss-crossed with two straps. But it DID look nice when I finished.
