Customer brought in an acorn, sentimental value, about 15 years old. He wants to see the whole thing. I am thinking of drilling a small hole and mounting on a pin of some sort. Other ideas? Thanks, guys!

Just a thought...how about finding an oak branch and gluing the acorn to the branch where another acorn once hung?

How about a stuffed squirrel holding it gentle between his front teeth!!

oops ...thought I was in Warped...carry on

Could you use some tulle or Stabilitex in a matching colour to mount it? Something similar to Jim Miller's mounting method for golf balls, baseballs, etc?

I guess after 15 years, you wouldn't need to worry about any bugs or worms in the acorn, would you?

What Sue said about the stabilitex, but tie it (or forget the stabilitex and SS it....hey, it's an acorn!) on top of a little rod that's mounted upright through the bottom "shelf" of a tiny shadow box, with the end of the rod coming out of the bottom, a little handle on the rod so you can twist it around and turn the acorn. An Interactive Acorn?

Or mount it with a mirror behind it, so he can "see" both sides"? Or a 2-sided shadow box, glass on both sides?

Here's what someone else did!!!! Just a tad larger!!!!!
