OK...I have a customer that I'm doing a shadowbox for. There's a siged jersey, photos & other collectibles to be mounted. No problem with those, but he also has a signed baseball. I'm not sure how to conservation-mount the ball. I could make a raised box with a circular hole & then hold the ball in with monofilament line, but something tells me there's got to be a better way. Does anybody make 'mighty mount type' mounts for a baseball? I can't use glue or screws, for fear of destroying the ball. Help, help.

From Jim Millers class use tule. Wrap it around the ball and pull it through a small hole. Works great with balls, pucks, even tea pots.

Also check the "picture frame design" section...there is a football jersey done there that is really cool and J Paul says that the plexi is also available, from United, for baseballs, as well as other balls...pretty cool!

The tule method works great. Have been using Jim's tip for about a year now and I'm thrilled with the simplicity and how great the mounts look when completed. Of course, the truest test is how your customers view the completed shadowbox. Mine think I am a genius. (Hats off to Jim Miller once again!)

Thanks for the picture. Where do we get this holder??? I looked in the Art & Framing Sources 2006 directory and the only 'Superior' listed does not carry this product. Can you forward the phone number and address of this place?? Thanks again. Judy
