Any of you out there that are gilding their own frames, who are you buying your moulding from?

Are you getting it with the gesso (and ornament) already on?

I remember seeing a catalog page with fancy profiles shown, all in the gesso only stage - but I can't find it or remember who it was.

Any suggestions who has this??

I think Munn and Rhonda Feinman will both sell you the raw or gessoed frame.... probably even boled. (But it will most likely be red bole..... but don't drink it.
 
In the Chicago area there is Husar and in South Bend, IN there is Theirhardt Berger. They will both sell frames ready for gilding.

There are also several raw wood moulding companies. Other than Xylo in Savanna, I am having a mental loss as to the company in L A, CA.
 
You can get chopped Abe Munn frames in Gesso from Munn Frameworks, 800-322-6464. Ask for Max or Jason. No waste and more economical, in price and shippng, than closed corner from the factory. Profiles can be viewed here:
