Here's a job I did recently. It's a map of Ireland from a German atlas, C.1900.

Mylar encapsulation
Floated on natural grey AlphaRag
Top mat: Frank's Fabrics mushroom Countess silk, wrapped on a 4 ply and 8 ply mat, about 1/2 reveal
Bottom mat: natural grey AlphaRag
Frame: Roma Tabacchino cognac
Glass: Museum glass of course
Hanging hardware: Wall Buddies of course
Frame size about 27x25

FramerDave, this is right up my alley! I have dozens of 1800's maps (Charleston, South Carolina, Southeastern States) and old engravings that I am planning to frame for the antiques market in Charleston. Beautiful job. Thanks for the inspiration.
Not only are the corners crisp and sharp but so is the picture. A good camera in the hands of someone that knows how to use it? I'd like to be able to get shots like that. Nice job on the framing too!
DBecker, what a COOL site...

so if I down load the maps, to you have the printer?

I wonder if Kinkos can print it?

This site has Christmas gifts written all over it.
