Here's a job I did recently. It's a map of Ireland from a German atlas, C.1900.

Mylar encapsulation
Floated on natural grey AlphaRag
Top mat: Frank's Fabrics mushroom Countess silk, wrapped on a 4 ply and 8 ply mat, about 1/2 reveal
Bottom mat: natural grey AlphaRag
Frame: Roma Tabacchino cognac
Glass: Museum glass of course
Hanging hardware: Wall Buddies of course
Frame size about 27x25

FramerDave, this is right up my alley! I have dozens of 1800's maps (Charleston, South Carolina, Southeastern States) and old engravings that I am planning to frame for the antiques market in Charleston. Beautiful job. Thanks for the inspiration.
 
Not only are the corners crisp and sharp but so is the picture. A good camera in the hands of someone that knows how to use it? I'd like to be able to get shots like that. Nice job on the framing too!
