Yikes! The 888-299-5252 number is having technical difficulties (the phone company says they are working on it :)
Please use my cell 410-693-1237. Thanks!

dont see the saw/press/pinner.......you have those in a little tow-along??? That would be great for all those weekend/craft fairs(just KIDDING!!!) like the bus, too bad it didnt work out for you.

I sure do like the looks of that thing. Beautiful advertising on the side.

What I'd REALLY love to do is fit a tour bus and move on a schedule...hitting all the small towns that don't have a framer (which is plenty, in Virginia).

<sigh>

it's noisy/tacky but may one inquire how much $$ it took to produce the wrap??? You design it or hire out? How long it took to get it done? any problems encountered with the creation/application? going to do that to my chev van and have been 'put off' by the process. thanks

About Wraps

I can't speak for this (really cool) bus, but I can tell you a little about wraps.

We are actually sign makes first, transistioning into framing. So finally!! a question I am qualified to answer!!

First I would suggest doing your research and finding an experienced, trained company that uses QUALITY materials. We like Oracal, I feel they are the best on the market. ALWAYS look at wrap examples up close. Some companies do what I call "frankin-wraps" with lots of seams and splices. I am very pickey. On a van we did there would be one splice. Some companies do it differently. It's harder (and usually a little more expensive) to do less splices, but to me it LOOKS so much better.

The process should be fairly painless. What we do is have the customer bringus the vehicle, take photos, talk to them, get an idea on design, take a deposit and get to work. I usually prefer to do most of the designing, but love it when the customer brings good quality art that they want to incorporate.

The design process can take anywhere from a week to a month. It just depends on what it takes to get everything just right. Then the appointment is set and the vehicle is brought in. Depending on the size of the job, we like to have them for 1-3 days.

A quick "ballpark" price on a VAN (not a bus like this) would be about $2000 - $4000 + tax.

I hope that helps you! I am in LOVE with wraps and I can tell you from experience that they get ALOT of attention. It does take a while to get use to people staring at you everwhere you go!

Happy framing!

$1700 got our van wrapped. No seams, very smooth, been on for 2 years now, through 2 Nebraska winters.

Best advertising dollar we've ever spent.

PS. cheaper than a new paint job which we needed BADLY!

VERY neat and clean looking van..did you design the graphics or leave it to sign shop to come up with the look??

We designed it ourselves. Pretty much new what we wanted and needed it to reflect our style and image.

Have never had much luck leaving it up to the graphic artist, whether it be business cards, newspaper ads, radio or whatever....guess I'm just too picky.

Wouldn't it be kinder to have this conversation somewhere other than someone else's "for sale" thread. :popc:

PixFramer 2 - Did you sell your van?????

Van looks great. I love the idea.
Just to clarify, how is it utilized for business?
-Moving billboard?
-Appointments at customer's home or business?
-Street fairs, art shows?
-Could it be parked at the mall???
