Mirror Cutting

I've had luck with 1/8" thick and 3/16" mirror. 1/4" can be a little tricky.
Always use a new cutting wheel and wear SAFETY GOGGLES and Thick Gloves.

Yes, they cut just like glass. Cut on the glass side. As mentioned, the thicker the mirror or glass becomes the trickier it becomes to break it, well for me anyway, it needs a lot more strength to snap it.

Mirrors are just glass. I've been cutting mirrors up to and above 1/4 on my 3000 for years and haven't changed the blade for probably 10 years.

That could be because mirrors are generally made from glass! ;) ;)

Thicker mirrors require more pressure to break! Best not to try to cut off small amounts until you get more experienced!

I think you will have greater success cutting thicker glass/mirror if you use an appropriate cutter with the "correct" honing angle. 1/4" glass or thicker will benefit from a cutting wheel of 145 degrees.

I've got a wall cutter. I think in my case it's called lack of strength :)

I get a male to break it for me...I'm just not strong enough when it gets a lot thicker....so we need you males in our lives :)
