I have an old 3/4 wool Military Jacket to frame up for Christmas. It is rather heavy so I am asking if there is anything in particular I should do. I block out garments around foam core and then hand sew them down onto mat board that has been dry mounted to foam core. I use Pats, from Attach Eze, threads and I believe the heaviest is rated at 15 lb breaking point. Your input is appreciated.

Sounds like you got it down.

Ahem! It's called an "Eisenhower Jacket". A "3/4" was the WAC job my mother wore. The EJ that had been my father's..... once I ran it through a hot bath with Rite Dye was my "semi-formal" black jacket.
I'm sure that incident of non-parent permission was the start of our current relationship. :icon11:

HEY! I removed the medals..... just not the patches. Who has that kind of time? :D

Now you're talking about a "Field Jacket". It hits about the mid calf.

The "Trench Coat" was designed from it... but wasn't as bulky. Dates back to Prussia
