Well I used the search feature and it seems this topic has not been addressed. My main focus in life is the transaction of commercial real estate, I don't sell business opportunities unless they are integral with the property being sold. I have specialties within this area and do a lot of reading regarding the businesses so that I can help price them effectively. One of my areas is horticultural properties, I really love handling greenhouses. Anyway it seems that some growers of ornamental products are beginning to use 2d Tagging from Microsoft to merchandise their products. You may have seen the commercial tags used in greenhouse products from some of the larger growers, they usually supply the tags that go on the plants.
Anyway there is this article http://www.greenhousegrower.com/magazine/?storyid=3449
And it seems that one of the benefits coming out of this technology is the ability for anyone with a smart phone to be able to scan a product and get a whole lot more information about including web based sales presentations. I know that some people are reluctant to ask questions about a product because they don't want to be seen as not knowing. In other areas I have seen some terrible information given about a product by floor sales people who really don't know the product. This looks like it would get your message out to your public in exactly the way you want it to be presented. the article also points out that early adopters seem to appreciate a business using technology to address their needs. I think we are going to be seeing a whole lot more of this tagging being used.
Best regards,
Charles
