Michael's redux

Last week Michael's opened a store across town; today we got our first 'referal' from them. The customer wanted her artwork removed from its current frame, rematted, and fitted into another frame. Michael's told her it couldn't be done. My hope was that the new store would bleed off the low end of the market, enabling us to shorten our turn around time on larger orders. So much for that plan! Kit, Get prepared for a busy season. Michaels is the best friend you'll ever have.
Their massive advetising budget will get a lot of people thinking custom framing. Most will be looking for real frame shops after going into Michael's.
Be sure to set some of your profits aside for when they want to open another store closer to yours. You'll probably want to help them.
