Dear All:

I was hoping to get suggestions re. the best metric framing package on the market. I have reviewed about 8-10 different products already, but the majority of the good ones are imperial (ie. based upon inches).

Cheers,

This may be wrong but the free one on this board art&frame can be used metric. All prices have to be entered by the meter or whatever unit you want to use.

Mike - We have been using Framit for about five or six years - seems to work quite well and it is metric based - the only drawback seems to be that it is dos based and our new printer is too smart for it but that was not an insurmountable problem . We had a few teething problems but nothing that a good kick in the a--- didn't fix. The main problem that while the boys were developing the program they also had other employment and we had to wait a while and my darling other half gets rather irate when she is paying the dollars and things weren't happening NOW.
However thing got sorted out and we are very happy with the program. We had a quick look at Framiac a couple of days ago but didn't have time to form an opinion - it is also a metric program . Some where I have the address for a Framiac demo download which could be worth a look - give us a yell if you want the address -- Regards Alan
