Has anyone else heard a rumor that LJ plans to discontinue Clark metals?

Also, have you seen the new Alumina and Tapestry lines from Designer? Both have an absolutely gorgeous aubergine. Here in Viking land, I need all the purple frames I can get.

I haven't heard anything ,but i did wonder if Clark was still selling.We haven't bought any since DeCastro was their destributer. Where did your rumor come from?
Also this is a great chance for the LJ lurkers to come out and be helpful at the same time as some other very note worthy personalities have .LJ are you ready?
Or maybe someone close to them could get the ball rolling .ROB are you listening?

I order Clark mouldings through LJ and they've always had what I need in stock. Just placed another order with them yesterday but there was only one Clark metal on my list.

BTW, LJ has improved drastically on their chops in the past month. Only had one that we had to do some filling on. (Probably should knock on wood after saying that!)

I believe LJ bought Clark out some years ago and I've had no indication that they are going to stop production of metal moulding. I have, however, heard that they are stopping (or have already) distributing Designer.

I just talked to my Larson rep. We have a good one here and she's great about warning me about upcoming changes in the line so I don't get caught with my pants down (so to speak.) She did warn me some time ago that Larson-Juhl was dropping Designer metals, so I was able to pull the samples. She hasn't heard anything about dropping Clark. I believe her. When LJ bought out Clark several years ago, several other distributors did drop the line, but I'd be pretty amazed if LJ did.
