A client needs to have her company's mission statement framed. This document will be 2'x 4'.
She needs to have it put in a metal frame, and since this mission statement will be printed on two sides, she needs to have it viewed in the frame from both sides. My question is, does anyone make a double sided metal frame that would serve this purpose? Thanks for the help!

-Mike.

Wow, Mike, that must be SOME kind of a mission statement!!

I can't imagine any two sided framing that large that would be easy to remove from the wall and replace each time somebody wanted to read that mission statement. If their mission does, in fact, take up that much space, could you do 2 framings with the back side in a separate frame?

2'x8' of mission statement!! I hope that isn't printed in 12 point type!! I would have a tendency to doze off just trying to read it if it is THAT large!

(Think I'll go take a short nap now.)

I assume this thing is going to be suspended somewhere and is intended to be viewed from some distance. (With very large type.)

None of the "normal" vendors - i.e. Nielsen, Clark, Designer, Alumaframe, etc - make such a 2-sided moulding that I'm aware of. You may have to use one of the flatter profiles and do back-to-back frames.

Even in wood, there are a small handful of 2-sided mouldings - usually intended for stained glass.

You could also get two copies of the mission statement and just do a double opening mat, one showing the front of the statement and the other showing what would be on the back. Makes life a whole lot easier...

You could try calling Small Corp. at 800-
392-9500. The make welded aluminum frames
with powder coat finishes and have great
engineering skills.

I did this years ago, you will need two copies of the document. Frame one in each frame with mat and glass or anyway you need to. To attach the two metal frames together mill some hardwood wood strips 1/2 inch x 3/16 slide the wood into the channel on the back of the moulding. Put a narrow strips of velcro just on the exposed wood part, male on one frame, female on the other. Just press the two halves together and you have a double sided frame. Attaching a hanger was easy, just drill a couple of holes though one of the top parts in the back channel and place a small eye bolt

I love velcro, Have fun.

If it has to be only one document you won't have fun.

You may also mill another wood strip 3/8 x 1/10 and use that and glue in place of the velcro. That would make it impossible to take apart without busting it up.

Wow Hugh - what a great idea!

You could also ask them to leave a slot from which they could quick change their posters.

I think ASF also makes welded frames.

Doesn't someone make hinged front-load frames?
You could attach them back to back.
