Customer brought in a picture framed in a metal molding. Corner hardware is a new one (well maybe an old one) that I haven't seen before. Each corner has a right angle plastic insert that holds the corner together just by friction. Of course the plastic disintegrated while taking it apart. Nielsen hardware doesn't fit the channel.

Anyone know what the plastic inserts are called or where they can be obtained?

That is an from an old kit form of metal frames. Plastic allways dissinegrates and falls out. Don;t think they are even made anymore, nor can you get just the plastic carp. Time to make some money and sell them a new metal frame that won't fall apart.

yeah, those were when X-Cell Home Products tried knocking themselves off or something. We looked at them then and just laughed. Most of the time they wouldn't come apart once they were together.. of course, not many framers ever think about having to re-open a frame.... flumbs were acceptable back then I guess.

Thanks for the trip down a bad framing memory lane Brian, I think I'll go take an Abien and forget what I was dreaming about. :D

Ditto of Bean, sell them that new Neilsen line of looks like but no cigar water guild metals. :D
