Anyone know if it's possible to use a Mechanical Press (e.g. Seal) for dye sub transfers and if a Dye Sub Press can be used for mounting posters.

Wrong temperatures. The temps for dye sub transfers to tiles and such is around 300 degrees.

Framah is correct. I checked this out myself, hoping to use our 24x36 Beinfang but no. Check out Conde for all sorts of Dye sub supplies, printers and presses. If you call ask for Keri. She is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Thanks for the info. I guess I had hoped a mechanical art type mounting press temperature would go high enough.

Conversely, would any of the dye sub presses dial down to be cool enough for dry mounting?

Thanks for the input.
The reason I originally asked this question is I'm considering buying a Seal type mechanical press for mounting small posters/low value photo prints.
I have always used combo type Heat/Vacuum presses but due to budget and space constraints, thought this might be an option
I also want to experiment with some Dye Sub applications, again mainly flat art/poster/photo images mounts.
So I was hoping it might work for both. It looks like the Seal mechanical presses can go up to 350 degrees.
