What is the maximum UV plexi size available? I just quoted an order that would need about 48x48, but I don't think my POS stops me from selling something larger than what is available.

Smallcorp now stock it in giant size...

Giant Acrylic Sheet.... You asked for it... 3/16" x 72" x 120" UVF OP3 is now in stock

Thanks! I didn't realize its available to that large of a size!

Given that we need 4' x 4' (48" x 48") I'm hoping it might be available from the standard suppliers that deliver. Is the standard large 48x96?

The 48" x 96" UV Plexi is pretty much readily available through LJ and other suppliers.
Just went through this with a 54" x 74" shadow box of a Native American Indian jacket and dress that I framed.
You can get the over 48" x 120" UV, it takes some hunting to find a supplier.

There is even Optium Museum that is available bigger than 48" x 96", but get ready for the price.
We used a piece of 48" x 96" Optium Museum recently on a late 1700's 13 star American flag project.
The price to the customer just for the plexi was about $2000.

I'm ordering a 78" X 80 5/8" X 1/4" OP-3 cut sheet from Total Plastics. So they have to be made larger than that. Check them out for oversized special orders, they are very reasonably priced.

How do you quote a price for something and yet do not know if its available? Not knowing if its available tells me that you don't know the price.

Thanks for this info, Rob.
We've had a few way oversized jobs lately and sometimes it's like pulling teeth to get the info on a supplier for a specialty UV Plexi.
Sometimes all of our local suppliers, Larson, CMI, Valley, etc. just don't have the info.
I will pass this on to my employer.

He needs (and knows he can get, and what the cost is) 48 x 48. He's wondering if he can get bigger, and what the limit is.

A major word of warning if you use the Evonik UV products. They are NOT defect free!!.

The UV pleixglass (with the blue film) has black spots from the ash in it, as discussed with Evonik team at the WCAF show.

the new HC Optical (great potential product) With pink and blue film has major defects in it. even though they build a special production line just for this product.

Very annoying (and very expensive) in my business of face mounting.

Maybe they send the reject "second grade" stock to Australia.
