I AM NEW TO PICTURE FRAMING. (AN AMATEUR) AND I HAVE DIFFICULTY IN MATCHING THE FRAME COLOR TO THE ART WORK. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A GUIDE LINE? APPRECIATE ANY INFO.
I don't know if I have a particular guideline, but I think the whole package should coordinate with the picture. The frame style should be the same style as the picture and the mats should have the same feel and look. They should all go together.
I do find out the color of the sofa and the style of the house, however. In my doctor's office, the color we chose for his picture looks awful in his office. I cringe everytime I see it. Another doctor did the same picture the same way and it looks perfect in his office, so where it hangs is a factor to me, too.
Everything coordinated with the picture, but the setting was different. I think you can pull everything together or have them hang it in the basement in the coal cellar.
