A customer came in asking if I could match this old frame. Looks to be from the late 50's, early 60's. Stamp on back reads "Made in Mexico".

Any ideas? Anything similar on the market today?

Picture size is 8x10.

Thanks,

The back of the frame indicates "Quality Picture Frame Co." out of San Diego, CA. I think there was discussion on the "Chat" in the last few days that they are out of business.

Not exactly same, but similar ... stack a Designer Moulding W112-489 inside a W113-489.

Let's see... a W112-489 inside a W113-489.
That would run around $220 for an 8x10
Quite a change from the approx. $2.50 from the 50s

I usually tell folks they don't make those anymore and try to show them something in same colors, if possable. :kaffeetrinker_2:

From $2.50 in the 50s, to $220 in the 21st c., yeah that's about right. That is about the same as the $1,200 VW bug now going for $28,000.

He-he-he, fifty years from now someone may be paying big money for an 8 x 10 reproduction of an original poly frame made in China. Now, that'll be a tough tough job!

Thanks everyone. I kinda figured the chances were slim to none, but I told the customer I'd try.
